Jenn, why do you do what you do?
I was raised with old fashioned values and a strong work that allows me to treat every patient and colleague like a member of my family with whom I am very close. I have been active in the development of paraoptometric education in Colorado for many years. I have enjoyed working with and learning from the doctors and industry leaders during this process and using that knowledge to help every patient see their best.
Do you have a favorite patient story?
We had a patient a few years ago who lived a few hours away and was in danger of losing a dream job because of a vision issue. The patient called numerous offices that were unable to help. The doctors and I discussed the problem and did some research into possible solutions. We made arrangements for the patient to come here for the exam, to Denver to have a lens made, and back here to check the lens on the way home. The patient was able to return to work in one day without any further concerns or issues.
What eyeglasses do you wear?
I have recently purchased a pair of Silhouette glasses. They are beautiful and very light. I wear them in the evening for reading. I love my polarized Ray-Ban sunglasses and don’t go anywhere without them!
